IEEE Distinguished Lecturer Program >>> Broadband Wireless IP

Introduction
Thailand National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC) and IEEE Communications Society welcome you to join the IEEE Distinguished Lecture Tour in Thailand on Friday, February 20, 2009 (14.00-16.00).  The topic of the seminar is "Broadband Wireless IP" which is presented by Prof. Abbas Jamalipour, a world class researcher in the field of wireless communications.

Abstract
Broadband Wireless IP
With technological advancement and social changes, a proliferation of access networks (e.g. 2G, 3G, WLAN, HIPERLAN, WiMax) with diverse data rates and quality-of-service (QoS) specifications have emerged. Cellular operators have invested heavily into their networks and are working hard to maintain (even expand) their market share by improving the services (such as increasing throughput and data rate). It is difficult to predict which of these technologies will ultimately come on the top, reinforcing the likelihood of their coexistence in the future.
